RESULTS YOU CAN
COUNT ON!
We use Kodak GO+ ink which offers exceptional lightfast and
water resistant outdoor durability making it a brilliant choice
for printing indoor and outdoor signs, banners and posters. The
system-tested inks ensure great performance and the results are
guaranteed. When paired with Kodak Wide Format Inkjet Media, GO+
Ink is guaranteed for up to 36 months outdoors and 10 years
indoors.
What we love about our
inkjet banner printer is that we can send files to it from all of the programs that we support. There's no proprietary vinyl cutting software, and no cost of screens or separations. We output to it just like we do our other inkjet printers.
You get full four color process at 200 dpi, which is lower than our usual 600 dpi, but quite acceptable for outdoor banners.
Trade Show Banners
The vinyl we use for tradeshow quality banners is a matte finish material that accepts ink beautifully. It is nylon reinforced for strength. We can print full color images on vinyl just as we do on paper.
We buy vinyl in 36" and 42" widths, we can get ink on
35" and 41" respectively. Since the material is expensive, we sell indoor vinyl by the running foot of material used. If you want, for instance, a 2.5'x4' banner, you are paying for four running feet of 3 foot wide material.
For indoor banners, we use our regular imaging inks. When grommets are required, we put them through a single layer of material.
We hem the outer edge of outdoor banners all the way around before putting in
grommets. Hemming reduces the effective width of the banner
to
34 and 40 inches.
While they are very strong, we do not guarantee them in the wind. Whenever possible, put them against a building so the wind cannot get behind them. If you are hanging your banner across the street, we suggest you order an Across the Street Banner, which is made on a heavier material.
